I am currently studying for my bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Buffalo. I have attended school in both Nigeria and the US, which has given me exposure to many teachers with a wide variety of teaching styles. This is good for me when tutoring, because I have many examples to draw on, so I am able to meet each student's learning needs. I have been tutoring since high school, where I worked with students in science subjects such as physics, calculus, agricultural science, chemistry, and technical drawing, among many others. I continued tutoring in college, in the same general subjects. I have a strong interest in math and economics, and the way they impact our world today. I am also available to tutor in a number of other subjects, such as history, religion, and world civilization. My main focus, however, is in the math and science areas. I like to discuss problems with the students I tutor, and guide them as they solve problems, which I believe helps solidify the information for them in a way that just giving them answers would not do. I also use examples from the real world and references to pop culture to help students stay interested in the subjects.
